A majority of House Democrats voted Thursday to oppose legislation that would require the deportation of illegal immigrants convicted of driving under the influence. The bill, named in memory of Arizona police officer Brandon Mendoza, passed the House with a 246–160 vote, with every Republican voting in favor.
