Protesters gathered in Florida Saturday to denounce the state starting construction this week on a DHS funded project to house illegal aliens at a remote airstrip in the Everglades dubbed, “Alligator Alcatraz,” an aborted airport site built in the 1960s that is usually used for training, formally known as the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced earlier this week the site would largely be funded by FEMA money the Biden administration used to put up illegal aliens in hotels.
