Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass The Trump Administration is again cracking down on the lawless city of Los Angeles, this time over city officials’ refusal to follow fundamental immigration law. Fox News’s Matt Finn reported Monday that the Trump DOJ has sued LA Mayor Karen Bass and City Council officials for the city’s sanctuary city policy and the violent riots that broke out weeks ago. The lawsuit says that LA’s policy of coddling illegal aliens and refusing to turn them over to ICE violates federal law and that direct confrontation with the federal government was inevitable.
