The Democrats seem split into two camps on the topic of communist Zohran Mamdani. The far left faction in the party is thrilled by his sudden rise. Many people in the more traditional wing of the party are absolutely terrified. Count former Clinton pollster Mark Penn among the latter. He recently appeared on FOX News and described Mamdani as a ‘911 moment’ for the Democratic party. Penn also suggests that the insane process of ranked choice voting had a lot to do with Mamdani’s primary win.
