The facility, located in Ochopee, Florida, is surrounded by alligators and pythons, anxious for an easy meal should any illegal somehow escape custody. NBC 6 South Florida interviewed Leamsy “La Figura” Izquierdo, a 34-year-old migrant and self-described “urban artist” from Cuba, about the conditions on Alligator Alcatraz.
