Butch Wilmore was a US navy test pilot that conquered space, became a NASA astronaut, and ended up famous for enduring the dangers of flying the maiden crewed voyage for Boeing’s Starliner – a mission that should have lasted 8 days but went on for 9 months. Yesterday (6), we learned that Wilmore has retired from the US space agency, less than five months after returning to Earth to the relief of millions worldwide that were following the drama. After 25 years at @NASA, flying in four different spacecraft, accumulating 464 days in space, astronaut and test pilot Butch Wilmore has retired from NASA….
