President Trump on Wednesday fired Richard Primus, a Democrat member of the Surface Transportation Board and he is refusing to leave the post. Primus is not only refusing to leave after being fired, but he is also threatening to file a lawsuit. According to The Hill, Primus was fired because he did not align with Trump’s America First agenda. “The Administration intends to nominate new, more qualified members to the Surface Transportation Board in short order,” White House spokesperson Kush Desai told The Hill.
