Just one day after the shocking assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk over his political beliefs, CBS Mornings co-host Nate Burleson turned the tragedy into a moment to lecture Republicans and suggest that the right should “reflect” on its role in political violence. During a segment on Thursday, Burleson questioned former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on whether the murder of the 31-year-old Turning Point USA co-founder should prompt the GOP to examine the impact of political leaders’ words and the spread of “misinformation or disinformation” that allegedly leads to such acts.
