**Schumer Shutdown Day 7** The Senate will not vote on dueling funding bills on Tuesday as the Schumer Shutdown drags on. The Senate, however, did confirm 107 Trump nominees on Tuesday. On October 1 at 12:01 am, the government partially shut down because two measures failed in the Senate. The measures to reopen the government failed again on Wednesday morning. The House passed a clean, short-term stopgap funding bill to keep the government open. Schumer rejected it. Instead of working with Republicans to responsibly extend funding until November, Schumer chose a shutdown. Airports went dark this week because Schumer’s priority is to give illegal aliens taxpayer-funded healthcare.
