President Trump, during a cabinet meeting on Thursday, touted his “momentous breakthrough in the Middle East,” announcing that he plans to travel to Egypt to officially sign the newly brokered peace agreement between Israel and Hamas. “We ended the war in Gaza, and really, on a much bigger basis, created peace, and I think it’s going to be a lasting peace, hopefully an everlasting peace,” Trump said in his opening remarks at the meeting. “We’re going to go to Egypt, where we’ll have a signing, an additional signing.
