Earlier this month a drunk driver hit two La Quinta High School students riding their bikes in Southern California near Palm Springs. One boy survived and the other, identified as 14-year-old Liam Cantu, died of his injuries this week. The drunk driver, identified as 47-year-old Jose Villegas Orbe, fled the scene after he crashed his vehicle into the two biking boys. KESQ reported: Liam Cantu, a 14-year-old La Quinta High School freshman, has died in the hospital after being struck by a drunk driver, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
