It seems to be a common theme that judges are becoming more political in a time of great division. The role of a judge should be that of impartiality by simply applying the facts of a case to the law. A Justice of the Maryland Supreme Court has brought serious attention to himself because of a Halloween display in his front yard that has numerous political themes. The liberal bias that is clearly on display may bring into question a judge’s ability to objectively rule from the bench.
