John Fetterman on CNN’s State of the Union Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania has said that his own party is to blame for the ongoing government shutdown. As Americans lose their access to food stamps and other essential government services, Fetterman insists that it is the Democratic Party that is to blame. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, Fetterman said that it is time Democratic leaders stepped up and owned the consequences of their actions. “We are hurting the very people that we fight for. And now we’re getting nothing for them if we continue to keep our government shut down,” he said. “It is deeply, deeply distressing to know that 42 millions are going to lose their snap benefits,” he continued….
