A major man-hunt was eventually called, but not before the ‘fugitive’ tried in vain to surrender himself to prison, and was told to walk away by correctional officers. That was yet another major embarrassment for failing Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his Labour ‘car-crash’ cabinet.
