The US Supreme Court on Friday evening temporarily halted a lower court’s order requiring the Trump Administration to fund SNAP benefits for November. On Thursday, Judge John McConnell, a Rhode Island-based district court judge, ordered the Trump Administration to fund SNAP benefits amid the Schumer Shutdown. The lawless judge ordered the Trump Administration to take funding from child nutrition programs and redirect it to SNAP. On Friday evening, the First Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Judge John McConnell’s order forcing the Trump Administration to fully deliver the SNAP benefits to states by midnight tonight.
