Attorneys for embattled Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook lashed out at Federal Housing Director Bill Pulte and said the allegations of mortgage fraud are false. In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and special prosecutor Ed Martin, the attorneys accused Pulte of cherry picking certain statements on Lisa Cook’s loan documents to be able to allege she committed mortgage fraud. Lisa Cook filed a lawsuit against President Trump, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell after Trump fired her in August. Lisa Cook owns three properties, and she allegedly committed mortgage fraud on all three properties.
