West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced on Friday that Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe is “slowly healing” after being ambushed and shot last week in Washington, D.C. Wolfe was patrolling alongside Spec. Sarah Beckstrom, 20, when a gunman opened fire on them. Beckstrom succumbed to her injuries the following day, on Thanksgiving. Wolfe has been recovering in the hospital. “His parents report that his head wound is slowly healing and that he’s beginning to ‘look more like himself,’” Morrisey said in a statement on Friday.
