A Wellington, Utah, father is facing an attempted murder charge after stabbing a man 17 times for making comments about the man’s daughter. Thad Grule tells police that he stabbed the man “in an effort to protect his daughter,” investigators said. “He confessed, stating that he intended to kill [the victim] to protect his daughter,” they wrote. Investigators reportedly say that Grulle lured the victim, whom he had met days earlier at the post office, out of his apartment by asking if he wanted to go on a walk to grab some food.
