Federal agents are descending on Tim Walz’s state of Minnesota. The Trump administration is deploying hundreds Department of Homeland Security personnel as part of an expanded immigration and fraud crackdown in Minneapolis.. Officials told CBS News the operation could ultimately involve close to 2,000 agents and officers drawn from Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations division and Homeland Security Investigations, the agency responsible for probing transnational crime and large-scale fraud. The initiative is expected to run for roughly 30 days and marks the first major urban focus of the administration’s widened immigration enforcement strategy this year. HSI agents assigned to the surge are anticipated to examine suspected fraud cases, building on inspections conducted last month at dozens of sites across the Minneapolis area….
