Democrats are being told not to say ‘abolish ICE’ because it will hurt their chances in the midterms. Of course, they want to say it and they believe it, they even want to do it, but it’s a losing political message and they know it. It is basically ‘defund the police’ all over again, and even though they meant that one too, they know that it damaged them politically.
