House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) on Thursday grilled former Special Counsel Jack Smith on whether he relied on discredited January 6 hoax witness Cassidy Hutchinson. Smith testified before the House Judiciary Committee as House Judiciary Republicans probe his efforts to interfere with President Trump’s 2024 election. Perhaps the most notable of the absurd and easily debunked allegations about Trump included ‘star witness’ Cassidy Hutchinson’s claim that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel from Secret Service agents and commandeer the presidential limo on January 6.
