‘Dawson’s Creek’ star James Van Der Beek has passed away after a battle with cancer. He was 48 years old. Van Der Beek was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in late 2024. “Before my diagnosis, I didn’t know much about colorectal cancer,” van der Beek previously said. “I didn’t even realize the screening age [had] dropped to 45; I thought it was still 50.” TMZ reported: James Van Der Beek has died … TMZ has learned.
