In a horrifying case straight out of a nightmare in Pitt County, North Carolina, two Mexican nationals illegally in the United States, described by authorities as “sexual perverts and violent thugs,” have been arrested for a savage attack that included beating, sodomizing, and ripping the fingernails off of their victim during a home invasion. On February 11, Zaid Mayen-Esteban and Jonathan David Garcia-Larios allegedly burst into the victim’s home, armed with a “sharp-edged weapon,” and restrained him against his will. The pair viciously assaulted him, sodomizing the victim and even ripping off his fingernails. The victim was rushed to Eastern Carolina University Medical Center for treatment and, thankfully, survived the ordeal.
