Credit: Gage Skidmore/Flickr President Trump has issued his ultimate ‘trump card’ to pressure the Senate into finally passing the SAVE Act to secure America’s elections once and for all. And he wants them to do a bit of additional work on the legislation as well. The SAVE Act is an absolutely critical measure that requires every American to show ID to cast a ballot. It also requires proof of citizenship BEFORE registering to vote. Democrats are in meltdown mode because, should the measure pass, they will find stealing elections far more challenging. But Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D) acknowledged that Republicans currently lack the internal cohesion necessary to execute a procedural maneuver called a ‘talking filibuster’ to muscle the SAVE Act through the Senate….
