Gettysburg Borough Mayor Chad-Alan Carr, a Democrat who ran the local Gay Pride organization, has stepped down after being arrested for child sex crimes. Carr, 41, served as mayor until earlier this month, when he left office citing a “personal legal matter.” The disgraced politician also stepped down as president of Gettysburg Pride, an LGBTQ advocacy group he helped promote in the historic Pennsylvania town known for its Civil War battlefield.
