Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘One Battle After Another.’ Hollywood’s biggest night ended with a sweeping victory for One Battle After Another, a film centered on left-wing revolutionary politics that took home several of the top prizes at the 2026 Academy Awards. The movie, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland, won Best Picture along with multiple other major categories.
