Politico is shutting down its E&E News brand just over a year after the Trump administration ended a taxpayer-funded subscription worth nearly half a million dollars per year. The outlet announced Monday that E&E News will cease operating as a standalone brand and will instead be folded into Politico’s broader energy and environmental coverage.
