John Earl Stewart, 85, of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Northland Hospice House in North Kansas City.
He was born July 12, 1940, in Carroll County, son of Harold E. and Mildred R. (Fordham) Stewart.
A lifelong Carrollton resident, John was the owner of Main Street Drug for a time. He was an avid bowler, and had four 300 rings, two 299 rings, one 298 ring, and two 800-series rings. He liked to stay up on current events, and served on the board at Jefferson Park. He enjoyed classical music and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, and University of Missouri sports.
Surviving are two nephews, Michael Scheible (Traci), and Mark Scheible (Tanya); and two great-nieces, Olivia and Ava.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ruth Scheible.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Bittiker Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in De Witt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to HELP Services.
