Ronnie Lee Oswalt, age 82, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025, at his home, in Chillicothe, Missouri.
Ronnie was born the son of Earl Glen and Pearl Josephine (LaFever) Oswalt on April 15, 1943, in Princeton, Missouri. He was a 1961 graduate of Princeton High School, Princeton, Missouri. Ronnie was united in marriage to Teanah Sturdevant, on August 30, 1963, in Trenton, Missouri. She survives of the home.
Ronnie was employed at Donaldson’s for 41 years. He was a press operator for the first 20 years and then a forklift driver. He was a member of the Men’s Bowling Association, the Men’s Golf League and a past member of the Elks Lodge. He loved going to the casinos and working in his yard. He was very meticulous when it came to his yard. Ronnie was the guy who could fix anything, and was a jokester as well. He enjoyed a good chocolate cake or peach cobbler now and then. His family was his world and he loved spending time with them whenever possible.
Survivors include his wife, Teanah of the home; two sons, Brian Oswalt (Peggy) of Meadville, Missouri and Darin Oswalt (Sandy) of Ft. Myers, Florida; four grandchildren, Carissa Seek (Matt) of Columbia, Missouri, Dylan Oswalt of Kansas City, Missouri, Devin Oswalt (Sierra) of Estero, Florida and Payton Oswalt of Columbia, Missouri; four great grandchildren, Maya Seek, Gabe Seek, Nora Oswalt and Rose Oswalt: one brother and sister-in-law, Carolyn and Glen Tharp of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Don Warren of Trenton, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dean Oswalt and Harold Oswalt; five sisters, Norma Oswalt, Kay Cornwall, Marilyn Hickman, Elna Nolan and Barbara McLin; and several nephews.
A Graveside service will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. following the Visitation that will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
