Jerry Dail Main, 94, of Bucklin, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Jerry was born on September 3, 1931, in Bucklin, Missouri, the son of Raymond Marion Main and Inez Lorraine (Olinger) Main. He graduated from Bucklin High School with the Class of 1949. On April 8, 1953, he married Joan R. Robinson in Brookfield, Missouri, and they shared many years together before her passing.
Jerry was a dedicated farmer throughout his life, working the land and taking great pride in caring for it. In addition to farming, he served on the Board of Directors for the Bucklin State Bank and Brookfield Purdin Bank, and on the Bucklin R-2 School Board. He was also a member of the Linn County Antique Tractor Club. Jerry enjoyed woodworking and was known for his commitment to family, community, and the land he loved.
He is survived by five children: Linda Kaye Schlicht (Dennis) of Center Point, IA; Jerry Lynn Main (Joy) of Bucklin; Randy Main (Kathy) of Bucklin; Lana Rose Lodder (Charlie) of Rothville, MO; and Lora Solomon (Junior) of Bucklin, MO; as well as 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Anita Main of Chico, California, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; one grandson, Joey Main; two brothers, Robert Main, Eddie Main and his wife Martha.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline, Missouri, with Bro. Jim Fitzgerald officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Delaney Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Brookfield, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Cemetery or the Fr. McCartan Memorial School Foundation and may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home, 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
