Marguerite Clare Johnson, age 101, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 15, 2025, in Troy, IL. At the time of her death, she was living at Charter Senior Living in Troy, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Brookfield, MO; with Reverend Lee Porch officiating. Burial will be at a later time in Parklawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in Brookfield, MO. Visitation will be at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Brookfield, MO; Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:00 am. until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Online condolences can be made at www.rhodefh.com Marguerite Clare, was born on April 3, 1924, to the late Jasper Curtis and Mary Ann (Clair) Wolfe in Marceline, MO. She married George Henry Johnson on August 16, 1945, he preceded her in death on September 26, 2012. Marguerite was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years. She was also a member of Missouri Torchbearer Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and a member of Friendship Pinochle Club. Marguerite was co-owner with her husband George, her father Jasper Wolfe, and brothers Harry and Willard Wolfe in Wolfe Auto Sales (a Chrysler Corporation franchise and later General Motors franchise). She worked as office manager and bookkeeper there from 1955 to 1992. She was then employed by Jeff Wolfe Auto, Inc. as bookkeeper and secretary from 1998 until 2019. Marguerite is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Joanne Johnson living in Casa Grande, AZ, and a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Don Ray living in Troy, IL. There are five grandchildren, Marc Johnson from Houston, TX; Lisa Swedko from Casa Grande, AZ; Allen and Daniel Ray from Troy, IL; and Jason Wilmesherr from Washington, MO. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Carter and Caitlin Johnson, Korryn and Kody Swedko, and Tyler Ray. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Rita Wolfe from Booneville, MO.Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, George Johnson; her parents, Jasper and Mary (Clair) Wolfe; two brothers, Harry Wolfe and Willard Wolfe; sister-in-law, Roberta Wolfe; and great grandson, Colin Johnson.
