Robert Edward “Bob” Lock, 79, passed away on November 24, 2025. He was born September 5, 1946, the fourth of eleven children of Albert Paul and Clara “Dolly” Lock, who preceded him in death along with his oldest brother, Joseph.

Bob attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Carrollton High School with the Class of 1966. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving from 1966 to 1972. His service took him first to the Panama Canal Zone, where he worked as a Flight Operator and Chief Clerk for Operations from 1968 to 1972. He later served in Central Germany in Operations Reconnaissance.

After completing his military service, Bob attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning a degree in Meat Science. He worked for Oscar Mayer in Iowa and the Safeway Corporation in Colorado as a Beef Buyer.

On August 21, 1980, Bob married Cheri Kamm in Evergreen, Colorado. They had three children: Stephanie, Ryan, and Kelly.

Bob returned to Carrollton, where he worked in the family business until his passing.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie (Matt) Dillard, Ryan Lock, and Kelly (Ben) Wilson; and his grandchildren, Hadley Dillard, Peyton Dillard, Owen Dillard, and Molly Wilson. He is also survived by his siblings Anne Duderstadt, John Lock, Charlie Lock, Shirley Boyd, Tim Lock, Beverly Richardson, Jeff Lock, Susie Lock, and Carolyn Dent, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bob is interred at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri. A military service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family’s choice in memory of Bob.
