Susan “Sue” Wolfe, 71, of Marshall, MO, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Salt Fork Cemetery in rural Nelson. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Sue was a lifelong resident of the Saline County area and was born March 26, 1954, in rural Nelson, the daughter of the late David Edward Caton and Elsie Dean Hanlin Caton Allen. In her younger years she worked at Marshall Habilitation Center and then began a career of over 30 years with Breaktime Convenience Stores and retired as a manager. Sue married John A. Bishop on October 31, 1971, and they later divorced. On September 21, 2001, she married Wesley R. Wolfe who preceded her in death on April 25, 2014. After Wesley’s death, Sue and John reconnected with each other and were able to renew the love that high school sweethearts always have for each other. Her family was a very important part of her life especially when they gathered for Labor Day and Thanksgiving. Sue enjoyed the beauty of the countryside, crocheting and reading.
In addition to John; she is survived by three children, John D. Bishop (Tracy) of Tulsa, OK, Michael Bishop (Kimberly) of Jefferson City and Christina Hein (Richard Frame) of Marshall; nine grandchildren: Tyler, Ashley, Katelynn, Kyleigh, Ethan, Tanner, Megan, Richard and Dakota; four great-grandchildren, Sadie, Amelia, Everett and Everly; additional bonus grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.In addition to her parents and husband, Wes, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Lawrence Allen; and five siblings.
