Kathy Pulliam, 72, of Marshall, MO, formerly of rural Slater, MO, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Arrow Rock Cemetery with William W. Harlow officiating. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born August 11, 1953, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Homer Cedric Cooper and Leola Belle Fizer Cooper. Kathy lived in Saline County her entire life and was a 1971 graduate of Marshall High School. On November 13, 1971, she married JL Pulliam Jr. and he survives of the home. Kathy earned her degree as a medical assistant from State Fair Community College and she used that degree while working at the Marshall Habilitation Center for 22 years and then as the school nurse for Slater Public Schools. She was a Methodist.
In addition to her husband, JL; she is survived by one daughter, Kaylie Crewse (Joseph); two grandchildren, Lexi Rose Crewse and Kelby Josiah Lane Pulliam; one sister, Marlene VanHorn (David); one brother, R.W. Cooper (Paula); brother in-law, Brett Howerton; sister-in-law, Linda Cooper; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jason Lee Pulliam; one brother, Larry Cooper; and one sister, Brenda Howerton.
