Mary Jane Enyeart, age 85, of Marceline, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Brookfield Health Care.
Mary Jane was born December 13, 1940, in Bucklin, Missouri, the daughter of Allen William Slater and Marguerite (Apel) Slater. She was united in marriage to Virgil Dean Enyeart on October 25, 1958. He preceded her in death.
Mary Jane had a lifelong love of cooking and baking and was known for her warm spirit and welcoming heart-she never met a stranger. Above all, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding joy in family gatherings and everyday moments shared with those she loved.
She was a faithful member of Marceline First Baptist Church.
Mary Jane is survived by her two daughters, Vicki Squires (Bill) of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Cathy Carlson (Tracy) of Marceline, Missouri; daughter-in-law Kelley Enyeart of Cameron, Missouri; grandchildren Blakely Gabbert (Eric), Seth Squires (Samantha), Brittany Simpson (Justin), Taylor Allen (Bryan), and Brennan Squires; nine great-grandchildren; brother Richard Slater (Peggy) of Holt, Missouri; sister-in-law Peggy Enyeart of Keytesville, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Virgil Enyeart; her son Dean Enyeart in 2020; and her sister Frances Stone and husband Larry.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Marceline First Baptist Church, with Brother Brian Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline, MO. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Keytesville, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marceline First Baptist Church or Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
