Ellen Rose Beaver, 84, of Marceline, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at her home in Marceline.

Ellen was born July 16, 1941, in Aholt, Missouri, the daughter of Earl Raymond Starr and Rose B. Stundebeck Starr. She was raised in the Brunswick area and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1959.

On February 27, 1960, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Beaver at St. Boniface Church in Brunswick, Missouri. He survives of the home. Together they shared more than six decades of marriage, building a life centered on family, faith, and community.

Ellen was a beautician by trade and the owner of Beaver’s Beauty Den, where she served her community for many years. More than a stylist, she was a listener and friend to countless people who sat in her chair.

She was a devoted member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was actively involved in many organizations, including San Souci Sorority (a member since 1964), a Faith Sharing Group, JOY Sunday School Class, Eagles Auxiliary #726, and the Marceline Chamber of Commerce.

Ellen found joy in sewing and embroidery, social events, visiting with friends, and church functions. She volunteered at the Walt Disney Hometown Museum and especially loved sharing stories about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Beaver of the home; three children, Terri Billups (John) of Marceline, Mary Ann Ratliff of Marceline, and Tommy Beaver (Kerry) of Marceline; her grandchildren, Josh Phillips (Angela), Justin Phillips, Grant Phillips, Garrett Phillips (Allison), JoAnna Ratliff, Kyle Ratliff (Carrie), Kendra Beaver, Clinton Beaver, Chris Billups (Melissa), Amber Rae (Scott); 20 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren one sister, Ruth Ann Anderson (Larry) of Liberty, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Starr of Liberty and Marilyn Starr of Loose Creek, Missouri; along with nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; Marion and Ted Starr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Marceline. A visitation will be held Monday evening, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Marceline, MO with a Rosary Service starting at 3:30 pm . Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bonaventure Catholic Church or Bethany Baptist Church.
