Roberta L. (Boulware) Stoneking, 87, of Waverly, Missouri, passed away, January 7, 2026 at the Apple Ridge Care Center, in Waverly with her daughter by her side.
She was born May 23, 1938, in rural Carroll County, daughter of Robert Lee and Luella Mae (Hill) Boulware. On November 9, 1958, she married Chester LeRoy Stoneking who preceded her in death. They had celebrated 65 years of marriage together. They had one daughter, Lea Ann.
Roberta was a graduate of Carrollton High School and had worked with her husband LeRoy in the horse business for over 20 years, having a professional stable and show horses. They had admired all breeds of horses but especially the Tennessee Walking Horse. She retired from the Bakery at Mulch’s Country Mart, in Carrollton. She also enjoyed her flowers in her yard , cooking and reading non fiction books.
She is survived by her daughter and a sister.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lee Boulware.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at the Waverly Cemetery-Buck Corder Cary Addition.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 pm, Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the Bittiker Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
The family suggest contributions to the Waverly Cemetery, Buck Corder Cary Addition, Waverly, Missouri.
Roberta was a special mom that will be remembered with many special memories.
