Dennis Wayne Stroud, 72, of Norborne, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, January 11, 2026 at his home in Norborne.

He was born December 10, 1953, in Carroll County, Missouri, son of Leonard Franklin and Jolette Yvonne (Pierson) Stroud. On March 20, 1987, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he married Guyla Eyvonne Everett, who survives of the home.

Dennis was a graduate of Norborne High School and worked as a mechanic. He had worked for Cooks Manufacturing, Green Quarries and retired from the Road and Bridge Department in Ray County. Dennis was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a member of Bikers for Christ. He loved motorcycles, hunting, shooting, reloading and forging knives.

Survivors include his wife Guyla of the home, two daughters, Jennifer Matoy of Tennessee; Heather Roberts, of Tennessee; a step son Nathan Taylor and wife Jen, Blue Springs, Missouri; a step daughter, Crissy Cheney and husband Matt, Norborne, Missouri; two sisters, Connie Kephart and husband Rich, Odessa, Missouri; Sandra Horine, Carrollton, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary Stroud and a brother in law, Donald Horine.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Bittiker Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

There will be no formal funeral service.

The family suggests contributions to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
