Louis Everett George, Jr., 68, of Hardin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at North Kansas City Hospice House.
Louis was born in Richmond, Missouri, on December 15, 1957. Louis was the son of the late Louis Everett George, Sr., and Birdie Lee (Holloway) George.
Louis was a man of many adventures and stories. Louis was a member of the U.S. Navy, National Guards, and the Army Reserves. Louis was a member of the American Legion Post 487. Louis owned and operated Omega Surplus from 1986-2006. In his earlier years of life, Louis worked as a security officer at the Lake City Ammunition Plant and at Job Corps.
Louis is survived by his children: Jeremiah (Julia) George, Joshua George, Valeria George, and Melissa (Johnnie) Groves; stepson, Shawn Schieber; and known as dad to many others; and grandchildren: Hailey Arbogast, Ke’sean Williams, Tamia Williams, Kelsea Randle, Blaze George, Brooklyn Sargent, Johnathan Groves, Braden George-Groves, and Adria Burkhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepdaughter, Jackie Gabbard, and a few brothers.
Louis was a Norse Mythology Ordained Priest, with a final shout that echoed through the halls. Louis Everett George, Jr., embarked on his final greatest adventure. As we send him off to the horizon, we honor his wild spirit. May the wind fill his sails and the smoke carry his spirit to the ancestors. Good journey brave one. Raise a horn of ale to a life lived without fear.
The family invites you to join them Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 12:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. for Louis’s celebration of life at Brickworks Event Venue, 912 Main Street, Lexington, MO 64067. Inurnment will follow services at 3:00 P.M. in Richmond Memory Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Navy and Ray County Veterans.
