Janice Lee Stinson, age 73, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on January 28, 2026 at Hillcrest Manor, Hamilton, Missouri.
Janice was born the daughter of Eddie Lee and Barbara (Breeden) McDaniel on September 27, 1952 in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was united in marriage to James R. Stinson on January 24, 2007, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2007.
Janice was an arts and crafts enthusiast. She loved refinishing lamp shades and picture frames. Janice also enjoyed doing makeup and fingernails.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Panholzer (Heidi Kerns) of Chillicothe, Missouri; three brothers, Eddie McDaniel, Danny McDaniel (Megan) of Chillicothe, Missouri and Roy Meyers (Pricilla) of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ryan Panholzer (Jaden), Kimberly Panholzer Holloway (Owen) and James Panholzer; two great grandchildren, Oaklynn Holloway and Roman Panholzer; her mother, Barbara Weaver of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters, Carolyn Shannon of Wheeling, Missouri and Susie Shepherd of Roanoke, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie McDaniel; husband James Stinson; daughter, Kimberly Ann Panholzer; sister, Doris McDaniel; and her beloved dog, Jimmy.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Janice Stinson Memorial Fund (Please make checks payable to Joseph Panholzer).
