Judith Ann Elsea Mark, 83, of Marshall, MO, died Sunday, February 8, 2026, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall with Fr. Francis Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Prayer service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, at the church, with visitation following from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church, in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born May 11, 1942, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Edward Elsea Sr. and Margaret Eddy Elsea. Judy lived in Marshall her entire life and was a 1960 graduate of Mercy Academy. On September 2, 1961, she married Richard Lawrence Mark who preceded her in death on September 6, 2011.
Judy worked at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for 45 years where she was a medical records technician. During those 45 years, the methods of transcribing changed numerous times based on new technology. Judy furthered her education during her time there and became an Accredited Records Technician as well as becoming a Registered Health Information Technician.
A woman of deep faith, from her childhood to her death, she was a lifelong active member of St. Peter Catholic Church. At the church she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Altar and Rosary Society, as well as being active in St. Peter’s School. Not only was she active in her church, she was active in the Marshall community. She had been a girl scout leader, served on the Marshall Senior Center board, assisted at the Marshall Public Library with their genealogy program, as well as having several other awards and achievements.
Survivors include three daughters: Susan Dykes of Marshall, Sarah Tyler (Russell) of Concordia and Cecelia Morgan of Independence; seven grandchildren: James Harper (Michelle), Drew Hurt (Kim), Gabe Morrison, Charley Dykes (Makayla), Jessica Harper (Brett), Kara Morrison (Jake) and Courtney Dykes; 10 great-grandchildren: James, Kaleb, Thomas, Harley, Chase, Audrey, Arian, Adrianna, Emma, and Charlie Rose; four siblings: Ed Elsea Jr. (Wanda) of Marshall, Mary Gilliam (Tom) of Marshall, Ida Jane Elsea of Marshall and Jim Elsea of Longwood; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Elsea (in infancy) and Rose Markley.
