Fred Allen Droege, 87, of Concordia, MO, died Thursday, February 5,2026, at his home.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at CampbellLewis Funeral Home in Concordia with Dr. Alan Gatewood officiating. Inurnment with military rites will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Born July 5, 1938, in Concordia, he was the son of the late Fred H. Droege and Olga (Duensing) Droege. Fred was a United States Navy veteran and served as a communications specialist. On February 20, 1960, at Bethel United Church of Christ, he married Virginia Mae Kindle who survives of the home. Fred’s career was spent as a communications analyst with AT&T, working for 35 years before his retirement. Fred was an active member of Bethel United Church of Christ where he was an authorized lay minister and sang in the church choir. He was a member of American Legion Post 258, Concordia Lions Club, and served on the Board of Directors at the Good Shepherd Home. Fred volunteered with Habitat ForHumanity and the Sweet Springs Food Bank. He enjoyed having a winery, loved making wine and selling his grapes to Baltimore Bend Winery. Fred was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his yard.

Fred is survived by his wife, Virginia, of the home; two daughters, Cindy Maxey-Droege (Karen) of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Linda Holshouser of Harrisburg, PA; three grandchildren: Joshua, Jeremy, and Jared Holshouser; one brother, James Droege of Concordia; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Fred will be missed by many.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred H. Droege and Olga (Duensing) Droege.
