Kenneth “Kenny” Franklin Stratton, age 83, a resident of Metamora, Illinois, passed away on February 9, 2026 at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri. He was born on September 10, 1942, in Braymer, Missouri. Kenny was the son of Lloyd and Kathryn (Phillips) Stratton.

From a young age, Kenny shared a passion for working with horses alongside his father and brother. They also got to work with each other at Trager Rock Quarry. This early experience instilled in Kenny the strong work ethic that he carried through to his professional life.

He later pursued a career as a truck driver, dedicating 15 years to P.I.E. before spending another 26 years with ABF. He spent decades on the road doing what he truly loved and received awards for million miles of safety. His work on the road led him to living in Metamora, Illinois for 36 years.

Above all else, Kenny was a proud father and Gramps. His family meant the world to him. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Diann (Chris) Templeton, Deann (Dennis) Cummings, and Suzy (Clay) James; his sons, Mark Stratton and Jamie (Justina) White; ten grandchildren, Andrea Yerington, Aaron (Kendall) Anderson, Courtney Dull, Kendra (Matt) Vaughn, Danielle Stratton, Melanie (Kristian) Helton, Ashlen Mallory, Logan White, Addyson White and Luna White; twenty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Gary (Peggy) Stratton, nieces Kerry (Greg) Land and Marci (Charles) Bills; as well as many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and several uncles and aunts who helped shape his early years.

Kenny’s life was one of dedication; to his work, to his roots in Braymer, bust most importantly to the family that he cherish so deeply. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
