Gertrude Elizabeth Henke, 94, of Salisbury, Missouri died Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. Gertrude was born November 11, 1931 in Marceline, MO the daughter of Joseph H. and Helen C. (Lodder) Nanneman. She married Joseph William Henke on June 2, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1977.

Gertrude was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Class of 1949. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Altar Sodality and the quilt club. She worked as a secretary for Roling, Biltwell Clothing Factory and Columbia Regional Hospital.

Gertrude is survived by sons Robert (Donece) Henke of Salisbury, Roger (Robin) Henke of Boonville, Wayne Henke of Columbia, MO, a daughter Mariam Henke of Columbia, MO, sisters Jean Henke of Salisbury, MO, Sister Bernilda Nanneman, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Bernard, George, Lawrence, Vincent, Virgil, Martin, Ernest Nanneman, sisters Josepha Willis, Mary Diamond, Sister Mary Virgil Nanneman, Sister Mary Edith Nanneman, Rita Gaydusek, Agnes Emmerich, and Teresa Kruessel.

Visitation is Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 4-7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO. Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, February 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Church Restoration Fund.
