Ralph Eugene Summers, age 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Ralph was born the son of Joseph Paul and Eula Mae (O’Dell) Summers on April 24, 1941, in Livingston County, Missouri. He was a 1959 graduate of Penney High School, Hamilton, Missouri. He served in the Missouri National Guard from 1963 until 1969. He was united in marriage to Elsie Roberta Acree on April 22, 1966, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 2, 2012. Ralph worked for Chillicothe Lumber for 40 years. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Ralph resided at Morningside Center, where he enjoyed playing bingo and other activities. He also enjoyed watching westerns.
Survivors include one daughter, Robyn Robitzsch and husband, Shawn, of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sons, Randy Summers of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Daniel Summers and wife, Katie, of Northville, Michigan; five grandchildren, Cassity Summers, Sydney Huddleston and husband, Jordan, and Samantha, Finnegan, and Conor Summers; great grandson, Benjamin and one on the way, Milo. Ralph is also survived by one brother, Roger Summers and wife, Maggie, of Warsaw, Missouri; one sister, Josephine Hawks of Hamilton, Missouri; four brothers-in-law, Ora Paul Acree, Larry Acree, Gary Acree, and Jim Acree; one sister-in-law, Diane Nibarger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elsie Roberta; two sisters, Lois Blackburn and Vivian Bisel; two brothers-in-law, Cliff and Bruce Acree; and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Sickler.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Mound Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
