Mary Ann Renner, 86, of Rayville, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Liberty Hospital.
Mary was born on January 30, 1940, in Cole Camp, the daughter of Ervin John and Ella Anna (Von Holten) Henning. She was united in marriage to Lee Roy Renner, Sr. of Cole Camp on May 30, 1959; he preceded her in death on April 25, 2011.
Survivors include: three daughters: Debra Davis of Richmond, Theresa (Mike) Phillips of Richmond, and Terri (Brad) Wellman of Excelsior Springs; eight grandchildren: Tara (Justin) Eidson, Becky Davis, Megan Davis (Travis Sutton), Amy Phillips, Angela Phillips, Amanda (Kevin) Nichols, Dustin Wellman, and Dakkota (Freddy) Garcia; 10 great-grandchildren: Preston Jones, Elli Sutton, Vivian Ford, Liam Sutton, Tatum (Brandon) Motley, Taylor McGlothin, Taylee Nichols, Emery Garcia, Camila Garcia, and Jesus Garcia; sister, Betty Harms of Cole Camp; sister-in-law, Beverly Henning of Cole Camp; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Lee Roy Renner, Jr., two brothers, Lee Roy Henning and Reinhold John Henning, and son-in-law, Steven “Kem” Davis.
Mary was raised and educated in the area of her birth and graduated from Cole Camp High School. She spent her life as a devoted housewife and homemaker, taking great pride in raising her family, though she also worked outside of the home at different times throughout her life. Mary loved the country life and enjoyed raising horses and cattle alongside her family. She was a member of the Missouri Hereford Cattle Association and especially enjoyed attending cattle shows with her family over the years.
Mary truly loved being surrounded by her family, and her home was always a place where everyone was welcome. She often said the more family there was gathered at the house, the better. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she affectionately gave each one their own special nickname. Mary also loved animals, especially her dog, Granny. She enjoyed listening to Alan Jackson music, spending time fishing, and expressing her creativity through making and painting ceramics and other artwork. Mary was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Rayville Christian Union Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in Crowley Cemetery, Rayville.
