Carl Edward Morrison, 78, passed away on March 14, 2026 at the Good Shepherd Home in Versailles, MO. He was born August 27, 1947 in Salisbury, MO to John and Katherine (Pleyer) Morrison, one of ten children they were blessed with.

He graduated from Salisbury High School in 1965. Carl served 2 years in the United States Army, enjoying time overseas in Germany. After his time serving, he met and married Barbara Bossaller. Working for John Deere Implementers in Glasgow and Boonville, then opened Morrison Repair in Boonville. He enjoyed serving the farmers of his community. Carl was surprised as he was awarded Farmer of the Year at a dinner of his peers in 2005. Carl enjoyed time outdoors hunting for blackberries and mushrooms each year. Spending time with his grandchildren was his other love.

Carl is survived by daughters; Marsha and Justin Gargione, Versailles, MO; Sherry and Jerry Thompson, Boonville, MO and son Jerry and Samantha Morrison, Tomball, TX. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Brandon and Dalton Thompson, Blake and Brooklyn Gargione and Elaine Morrison. He also had 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers; Weldon and Charlie Morrison, Salisbury, MO, George Morrison, Phoenix, AR and sister Judy Morrison, Chillicothe, MO.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen, Brothers; Raymond, Lloyd, Jimmy and Roy Dale.

Visitation is Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10-11:00 a.m. with services following at 11:00 a.m at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Eastlawn Memory Garden in Salisbury, MO. Following the graveside a meal for friends and family will be at the Scout Cabin in Salisbury.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Salisbury and Boonville Future Farmers of America in his name. Collection will be at the Scout Cabin or contact a family member.
