“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
Matthew 24:24 (NKJV)

If you’ve been paying attention lately, you might feel something stirring deep in your spirit. A heaviness. A warning. A nagging sense that we are no longer merely watching current events—we’re watching prophecy unfold.

Many today are being swept up in political movements, clinging to public figures with near-messianic devotion. And yet, in that very zeal lies a dangerous trap: deception. Not from the Left, not from the globalists or Hollywood elites, but from within. From our own house. From among those who call themselves “the elect.”

The Politics of False Hope

We’re living in a time when a political figure can brag about his wealth, lie constantly, mock others, and yet still be treated like a savior by Christians. Some say things like, “Trump is saving America—and maybe even the world.”

Pause and consider that. Is that the voice of discernment, or the voice of idolatry?

It’s not that the other side is any better. Quite the opposite. This is not about partisan loyalties. This is about hearts. Who do we trust? Who do we follow? What do we excuse? Are we trading the truth for the illusion of victory?

“Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength…”
Jeremiah 17:5

The Jeffrey Epstein Blind Spot

Nowhere is this blindness more glaring than in the refusal to confront the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. A man who trafficked young girls for the elite—his “client list” still untouched. Protected. Ignored. Forgotten.

And still, those who claim to fight for justice and righteousness have no interest in demanding answers. Why? Because too many of their “heroes” might be on that list.

When we start turning a blind eye to child abuse and corruption because it might politically inconvenience us, we are no longer walking in the light—we are walking in darkness.

Strong Delusion: A Prophetic Warning

“The coming of the lawless one is… with all unrighteous deception… because they did not receive the love of the truth… And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie…”
2 Thessalonians 2:9–11 (NKJV)

This isn’t just about misinformation on cable news. It’s about a spiritual delusion—a blindness to reality that sets in because people loved power, prosperity, and comfort more than truth.

It’s no accident that Jesus’ very first warning in Matthew 24—the chapter about the end times—is this:

“Take heed that no one deceives you.”
Matthew 24:4

And then again, He says:

“See, I have told you beforehand.”
Matthew 24:25

God is not trying to trick us. He’s trying to wake us up.

Calling Evil Good

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil…”
Isaiah 5:20

It’s one thing to be imperfect. It’s another to excuse evil and package it as patriotism. To pretend that character doesn’t matter so long as we win. To act as though vulgarity and vengeance are somehow fruits of the Spirit.

We were never called to win political power. We were called to be faithful witnesses.

So where are the prophets? Where are the pastors and teachers willing to confront the compromise within the church? Where are the watchmen on the wall?

Because what’s happening now isn’t just politics—it’s a test of the heart. And many are failing it.

The Narrow Road Is Still Open

If you’re feeling uneasy—if your spirit is troubled by what you’re seeing—you’re not crazy. You’re discerning.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
John 10:27

It’s not too late to repent. To re-center our trust in Christ alone. To pull back from the circus and start asking hard questions—biblical questions. Not “Is this good for my party?” but “Is this pleasing to God?”

We were warned that in the last days, even the elect would be targeted by deception. We see it now—not in whispers, but in headlines. The question is, will we continue to excuse it… or will we stand apart?

The world doesn’t need more Christian voters. It needs more Christ-followers.
