Ruth Ellen Lincoln age 72 of Linneus, MO passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on August 15, 2025 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City. Ellen was born November 7, 1952, the daughter of Robert Eldon and Ruth Louise (Koch) Duffield in Carrollton, MO. Ellen lived a life of service. She spent hours in the garden and canning food for her family, and her beautiful quilts grace the homes of many. She had a fulfilling career within the school district caring for children with special needs that she loved like her own. Her commitment to the Lord and her church was unmatched. Her favorite past time was sharing stories about her grandkids and quilting. Ellen is survived by her two children, Jennifer (Scott) Allen, Linneus and Matt (Vanessa) Lincoln, Kearney. Her grandchildren Brock (Katelyn) Allen, Adisyn (Winston) Taylor, Eli Allen, Rebekah Allen, Quinton Allen, Hannah Allen, Isaiah Allen and Will Lincoln, Jocelyn Lincoln, and Zach Lincoln. One great-grandson Dawson Allen. Step-grandchildren Cord (Amanda) Allen, Brinlee, Raelynn, Berkley, Shaniah (Alex) Martin, Kynsley, Carter. She was proceeded in death by her parents, one sister, Deborah Lewis and an infant daughter. Visitation will be held at the Park Baptist Fellowship Hall in Brookfield, MO Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with family receiving friends during this time. Funeral services will be held at Bear Branch Church, 17238 Inlet Drive, Purdin, MO at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 17, 2025 with Bo Brown officiating. Private family burial at McCullough Cemetery. Memorials suggested to Bear Branch Church or McCullough Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO
