Scott Phillip Dowell, 67, of Odessa, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Aspire Senior Living in Oak Grove, Missouri.
Scott’s family has selected no services at this time, but plan to hold a small memorial service in Wauconda, IL at a later date. Memories of Scott and condolences for his family may be left at www.LedfordFamilyFH.com or on our Facebook Page.

Scott was born on May 13, 1958, in Wauconda, Illinois to Merle and Jeanette (Hoehn) Dowell. He graduated from Wauconda High, then received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and was employed as a paralegal. Scott enlisted in the United States Marines where he honorably served his country. Along with spending time with family and friends, Scott enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching movies.
Scott is survived by two brothers, Mike Dowell of Odessa, MO and Jerry Hueckstaedt of Snohomish, WA; two sisters, Sally Dowell of Wauconda, IL and Linda Winterroth of Fairfield Glade TN; and many nieces nephews, relatives, and friends.
Scott was preceded in death by both his parents.
